PPN London is commissioned by NHS England and is accountable at both national and regional levels. We report into NHS England’s Mental Health Policy and Workforce Transformation, Training and Education Directorates, through the National Psychological Professions Workforce Group and PPN England.
Our governance structure is designed to support the delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan and the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, as well as other key national guidance focused on expanding, diversifying, and sustaining the psychological professions workforce.
PPN London is made up of the following core structures:
PPN London Board
Our Board is chaired by Dr Estelle Moore, PPN London Chair. It provides oversight and strategic direction, ensuring our work aligns with national and regional priorities.
PPN London Workforce Council
The Workforce Council brings together specialist advisors from across London’s psychological professions. It includes representatives from users of our services, clinical practice delivery, higher education, professional bodies, integrated care systems, and our communities of practice. The Council meets quarterly and helps shape our priorities and ensure they reflect the needs of the workforce and the people we serve.
Our Members and Communities
We are powered by our members and an expanding network of member-led PPN Communities of Practice, which bring people together across professions, roles, and settings to share insights, test ideas, and lead local innovation.
Through this governance model, we continue to strengthen relationships across NHS provider trusts, integrated care systems, higher education institutions, and community partners to work together to embed psychologically informed approaches across London’s health and care system.
